Calero, Giuseppe
Giuseppe Calero was an art historian
and literary critic, active in Genoa from the early 1940s onwards. He authored
a series of essays about art and literature (Calero 1941) and a monograph on
Michelangelo’s poetry (Calero 1944). In the 1950s and 1960s, he published
schoolbooks on the history of classical and Italian art, from antiquity to his
own time (Calero 1950–1966). Calero seems not to have been a particularly
prolific Latin writer. More research on his life and work is needed.
