Fabbri, Paolo

Biography

Very little is known about Paolo Fabbri. He might be identified with the Latinist of the same name and author of a number of scholarly works, including a critical edition of Ovid’s Metamorphoses (published between 1921 and 1923 by Paravia in Turin) and some interpretative essays on Vergil, Livy, and Claudian (many of them published in the journal Athenaeum). Additionally, Fabbri authored pedagogical publications, including a translation and commentary of selections from Cicero and Vergil, a Latin workbook, and Latin grammars (Primavera romana and Grammatica latina elementare, originally published in Florence by Vallecchi in 1931 and 1942 respectively and reprinted many times).
