Salatiello, Giosuè
Not much is currently known about
Giosuè Salatiello. He wrote several works on Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint
Catherine of Siena. As a writer of Neo-Latin poetry, Salatiello submitted
several works to the Certamen Hoeufftianum between 1929 and 1934, and he
received magna laus for a submission to the Certamen Locrense (van Binnebeke 2020: 250). In 1927, Salatiello
also published the Romulea proles! for use in the teaching of Latin at
Italian high schools (Salatiello 1927–1928). More research on Salatiello is
needed.
